“Attomarker’s blood test has been a game changer, enabling me to understand and manage my Long COVID…”*
The COVID Antibody Spectrum Test (CoAST) is being used around the world and is becoming increasingly well known amongst the Long COVID and clinical community. People have recommended this test to each other, to their doctors, and vice versa. Hundreds of members of the Long COVID community have now been tested and given an indication of whether they have a persistent virus, indications of autoimmunity or an as yet indeterminate result.
“I’m feeling so much better. I’m not cured but I can understand and mitigate my issues…”*
Your doctor can now take into account a classification of some of the factors underlying symptomatic presentations of Long COVID, offering the opportunity to provide more personalised and targeted treatment.
“We need to investigate the causes and treatment of viral persistence. We have been using the Attomarker test to identify our patients with persistent COVID activity.”
Dr Ben Sinclair, Dr Finlay’s
The test looks at markers (IgG) of an individual’s unique spectrum of immunity gained at each variant wave. The clinician can link the onset of symptoms to a gap in patient immunity, often pointing to immuno-compromised status and persistent virus.
Or symptoms may be correlated with, for example, a vaccination event and a hyperimmune response, suggesting autoimmunity.
By lining up variants, antibody immunity spectra and symptoms the doctor can start to build a better understanding of your Long COVID and suggest some treatment pathways.

How getting a CoAST test classification can help provide better understanding, and improve treatment pathways. On the left – a gap in the immunity aligns with the onset of symptoms after an Omicron variant infection. On the right – a hyperimmune response appears to be correlated with the administration of a vaccination.
